Recertification Policy for IIFIS

Recertification with IIFIS shows that a professional is committed to keeping up with the best practices in certification. It proves that they are still skilled and knowledgeable in their field.

IIFIS, which stands for the International Institute for Information Security, recognizes all IIFIS Certified Professionals forever. Starting March 1st, 2017, IIFIS will use a system to classify Certifications better. When a professional gets a Certification, it's considered "Current" for three years. After that, it becomes "Elapsed" unless the Professional does Recertification.

IIFIS Certification Exams are about testing the basic skills and knowledge needed for security work. Professionals who pass these exams get a security professional certification.

To keep a "Current" Certification with IIFIS, Certified Professionals need to do a small re-exam. This makes sure they are still skilled and knowledgeable in their field. It's all about keeping up with the standards of Professional Credentialing and growing in the security field.
